- The Hyper Tough magnetizer/demagnetizer is the perfect accessory to keep around the house or in the toolbox. This magnetic tool assists in the placement of fasteners or to pick up and hold items that may have dropped into out of reach places. The accessory can magnetize or demagnetize screwdrivers, tweezers, screwdriver bits and virtually any tool that is made of steel and can be slid through the magnet opening. To magnetize a tool simply pass it through the plus (+) side opening using the step gauges for better control. To demagnetize a tool pass it through the minus (-) opening. Once magnetized the tool will stay magnetized for quite some time. If it does loose the magnetized effect simply pass it through the accessory again. Many times a magnetized tool should not be used as in some electronic devices where magnetized items in contact with the device could damage or render it unusable.
