The Steelex M1096 Fly Cutter Set with Tool Bits is a great value for those who need to make precise cuts in wood or metal. With the stock bit, the largest diameter cut is about 70mm on the large cutter, but with a larger bit, the tool has been cutting 120mm (5") on wood. While it is not recommended for very large diameters in metal, it has been used in a mill up to 1500 rpm, with a good cutting speed around 900 rpm for aluminum and slower for steel. This fly cutter set includes three solid cutters that are well-balanced and seem to hold an edge well, especially in hardwood. However, the blades do need to be sharpened before using them out of the box.
