Rated: Unrated Format: DVD DVD Editorial Review
Julie and Julia is a feel-good movie that follows the story of Julie Powell, a blogger who sets out on a year-long journey to cook every recipe in Julia Child's cookbook. Interspersed with Powell's storyline is the biography of Julia Child (Meryl Streep), an American chef who revolutionized cooking through her books and TV shows. Streep's performance as Julia Childs was outstanding, and she was complemented well by Stanley Tucci in the role of her husband. The movie is a great blend of comedy and drama, leaving the audience laughing and crying.
