تفاصيل المنتج
- Ross has a passion to lead people into an intimate relationship with “The Real Jesus.” His deep knowledge, understanding and revelation of the scriptures is reflected in the way he preaches the unadulterated Word of God. Selah, is a devotional book that epitomises everything about the author. It is written in a way that reflects the rawness, the awe, the beauty, the anger, the vulnerability, the sorrow, the joy and the hope of following Jesus. Every reader’s heart will be lifted up to consider the truths of the psalms and the God who wrote them. It is a devotional book that I would recommend to every person who follows Jesus. It will guide you into a deeper and more intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.-Tich Smith, Founder of the Lungisisa Indlela Village (LIV), an orphan village in KZN, South Africa, Co-author of When Grace Showed Up: One Couple's Story of Hope and Healing among the PoorRoss Lester is a man who strives to live a life that reflects a heart that has been immersed in the Scriptures. So as he takes us through the Psalms, you can see that each word has been thoroughly thought through, revealing that his approach to this poetic book is from a place of utter devotion. He allows you to witness a heart and mind that has wrestled with the Word of God and invites you to do the very same. His vulnerability, dripping from every page, will encourage you to come before the Lord in honesty, with no face mask on, declaring our imperfections. Ross will then point you to God, over and over, revealing to you that no matter what you are going through or where you are in life, we are all are in desperate need of a Saviour, who loves us more than we could ever imagine.-One Mokgatle, Lead Pastor of Rooted Fellowship in Pretoria, South AfricaThere may be no better place in the Bible to experience the full gamut of human emotion than in the Psalms. Ross does an excellent job applying God’s Word to the ups and downs of the Christian life. He points to the wonderful realities in the Psalms that show us how to honestly respond to God, while still being anchored in His goodness and wisdom. This book is highly accessible and a great devotional that will supplement your reading of the Psalms.-Kevin Peck, Lead pastor of The Austin Stone Community Church, Austin, TexasMost followers of Jesus know that a key part of growing in their faith is reading their Bible and praying. However, many people find Scripture reading a difficult discipline to master. Where do they begin? What part of the Bible do they start with? In Selah: Devotions from the Psalms for People Who Struggle with Devotion, believers will find accessible, honest, and practical content to help people start to spend daily time in the Scriptures. Each devotion includes:A selection from the Psalms Devotional thoughts to guide the readerA time of prayer and reflection In the Psalms, God gave His followers a guide to engage with Him through prayer and song, regardless of what they’re going through. This collection of devotions will help the reader navigate the Psalms, discovering a path lit beautifully by God’s true and lasting Word.
