IRWIN Smoothing Planes 09-1/2 Editorial Review
Irwin Record 09.1/2 Block Plane, 09-1/2 is a well-engineered tool that forms a part of a broader kit used for instrument making, showcasing reliable performance despite some users finding the blade alignment issues. While many appreciate the solid build and weight, adjustments to the blade may be necessary for optimal usage, as the initial sharpening may not be sufficient. The manual operation provides a traditional feel which many users find appealing. However, some have noted that the castings could be improved, but overall the product remains a valuable addition for both novice and seasoned craftsmen.
