- For the first seven days, we are in another house. We can't stay at home anymore. Their mother comes to this house to see survivors from a fallen house. Now let's talk about something else in a suddenly concentrated sea. A conversation is a ball that changes hands by calculating where it touches in a carefully played game. My face is looked at carefully. The house turned into a fragmented mechanism. My mother stripped herself of the world and brought us back to life in a state we were not used to. Now we need to learn about this world from scratch. ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Born in 1987. He graduated from Boğaziçi University Western Languages and Literatures and Philosophy departments, Criticism and Cultural Studies master's program and New York University Near Eastern Studies master's program. He received the Yaşar Nabi Nayır Poetry Award with his first file, The Voice of the Stones Was Cut (Varlık, 2014). His second poetry book, Notes for Departure (Dünyadan Exit Publications), was published in 2017’. He translated Philip Larkin's book The Whitsun Weddings into Turkish under the title Eid Weddings (Ketebe, 2021). He is among the authors of the documentary poetry book I Put Myself There (Everest, 2023). He is a doctoral candidate in the Anthropology department at Stanford University. He lives in California.
