最強の鑑定士って誰のこと? ~満腹ごはんで異世界生活~2 Bs-LOG COMICS Comic – March 9, 2019

In the realm of manga adaptations, the reception of 最強の鑑定士って誰のこと? ~満腹ごはんで異世界生活~2 (B’s-LOG COMICS) is a mixed bag. While the series has its charms, such as vibrant character designs, particularly for the female leads, and a comforting ambience that caters to readers seeking a respite from intense battle narratives, it struggles to fully engage fans familiar with its original novel. Some readers found the comic's storytelling to be somewhat superficial, mentioning that the plots often feel abrupt, lacking depth and cohesion. Despite this, the unique blend of humor, such as the quirky interactions between characters like Ally and the umeboshi, received positive nods for its light-heartedness. Furthermore, while some appreciated the delightful food depictions and the overall feel-good vibe, a common thread of disappointment runs through criticisms of the adaptation's failure to capture the essence of the original. Many voiced their hope that future installments would better reflect the immersive world established by the source material, unlike the current iteration, which feels disjointed and lacks the otherworldly quality expected in a fantasy genre. Moreover, readers who adore the original novels find themselves torn—they appreciate the comic's attempt to visually narrate the story but are often left wanting more in terms of plot execution. Nevertheless, they remain committed to the series, driven by their affection for the original narratives. In summary, this manga adaptation captures a whimsical charm but falls short in delivering a compelling narrative, especially for dedicated fans of the novels. **
