Electro-Harmonix Wah & Filter PICO SWELLO Editorial Review
The Electro-Harmonix Pico Swello Attack Filter has garnered positive reception among musicians, especially those looking to enhance their sound with unique filtering capabilities. Customers have noted the pedal's excellent build quality and its creative filter options that differentiate it from other products in the Pico series, such as the pico attack/delay pedal. Features like polyphonic tracking have been highlighted as particularly impressive, allowing users to explore a range of tonal possibilities. While some users appreciate the novelty factor of the Swello, likening it to unconventional instruments like an ebow or ring modulator, the Consensus is that its application may not be suitable for daily use. The subtlety of the filter modulation and the modulation rate's coupling with the attack control received some critique, suggesting that while the Swello performs well, it might fall short of the expectations of those seeking more pronounced modulation effects. Nonetheless, it is Considered a valuable addition to a pedalboard for those needing niche filtering effects, and its compact size is a bonus for musicians looking to save space. **
