- Arabic At Your Hands Series is developed for educational entities, including schools, institutes and universities. It begins from the basic level and continues with the students until they master Arabic language, which enables them to join university and continue their Arabic studies in various majors. The first level consists of two parts (books), each of which includes 8 units (total of 16 units). Each unit consists of 9 lessons, constituting a total of 144 basic lessons in this level. The Arabic Between Your Hands Textbook: Level 1, Part 1 is a high-quality textbook/workbook for beginner students of Arabic which teaches Modern Standard Arabic. It has a plastic cover, good production, and an MP3 CD is included. The book is in Arabic only, and while it includes many new words' learning through pictures and the grammar is basic, it is suggested to use a different source for a primer on reading and writing Arabic script before using it. The book/course is used by many universities to teach students Arabic, and the first level holds circa 700-800 words, including topics such as greetings, home, food, and jobs. The book functions as a combo textbook/workbook, and the exercises have short key-style answers in the back. The MP3 CD is user-friendly and helps understand the dialogs/texts in the book better. However, it cannot be reused if the exercises are done as designed. The book does not depend on the rest of the books in this level, making it a good place to start. Although the book/course can be used without a teacher, it is suggested to watch the recorded course available on YouTube to understand the tasks and explanations.
