While it is sturdy enough to hold the SSD securely, it is also flimsy in Construction and has a useless plastic flap. Many reviews highlight that it is not unique from any other SATA cable, but it is necessary for use with Atomos Caddy and SSD units. Some customers experienced it arriving broken and others noted issues with the connector if not inserted properly. The design choice of having a plastic flap to hold the SSD in order to reduce pressure on the connectors is noted as a plus point. The adapter reportedly mounts as an external hard drive and facilitates one-touch connection for easy and comfortable use.
