robert sorby Editorial Review
The Robert Sorby BASIC PROEDGE SHARPENING SYSTEM (PEB01A) has garnered a largely positive reception among customers, particularly for its efficiency in sharpening tools with precision. Many users, including those who initially hesitated due to the price, have expressed satisfaction with their decision to invest in this system, noting that it significantly enhances their ability to maintain sharpness with minimal effort. Feedback highlights the machine's solid Construction, weighing 15kg, which suggests durability and stability during operation. Users appreciate the straightforwardness of setup and operation, specifically praising the effective mechanism for setting bevel angles. This feature is particularly beneficial for those who struggle with maintaining accurate angles manually, including older customers with diminishing eyesight or hand steadiness. While the basic model is functional, some users have pointed out that it lacks certain attachments necessary for sharpening all types of turning tools, leading to additional purchases for upgrades. Furthermore, a few customers have noted the Considerable dust generated during use, which may require appropriate precautions. Despite these minor drawbacks, the majority agree that the PROEDGE system is one of the best sharpening solutions available on the market, praised for its ease of use and robust design. **
