The magnifying glasses are not a substitute for buying a larger TV, but they work well at magnifying a portion of the TV screen, making it possible to see details clearly that might otherwise be difficult to see. They are much more convenient for glasses wearers than a dedicated pair would be, but they may not work well for all people, particularly those who wear progressive lenses. The clip-on bracket is not much stronger than what you'd find in a pair of clip-on sunglasses and tends to pull your glasses off your face. The biggest drawback is the limited adjustability which can be a problem with progressive lenses, and the noticeable amount of chromatic aberration - colored fringes are visible above and below objects on the TV. They also tend to fall back down, making the flip-up feature pretty useless. However, the magnifying glasses are well-made and come in a nicely cushioned case.
